A discussion around the GenComm output, the Enabling Support Tool, (EST) which helps bus fleets decarbonise took place in Holland on April 5th, 2023. Hydrogen Ireland member Hy Energy Consultancy facilitated a trip by European bus operators, transit agencies and other stakeholders to visit the QBuzz depot in Groningen to see their state-of-the-art Hydrogen and EV bus infrastructure. Tadgh Cummins from Hydrogen Ireland member NUIG also made a presentation about the EST tool which allows stakeholders to identify the ideal bus routes that are suitable for the use of Hydrogen buses.
The EST went live globally on January 31st, 2023. The Sales Lentz and Emile Weber bus companies in Luxembourg are currently using the tool as are those involved in current Hydrogen Hub regions across Europe.
