HySkills is a Hydrogen Ireland member and Erasmus+ funded project focused on the development of industry-led practical training content for the green hydrogen sector.  The consortium is led by South West College (Northern Ireland), in collaboration with Dublin City University (Ireland), The European Institute for Innovation – Technology (Germany), The University of Tromsø (Norway) and PROMEA (the Hellenic Society for the Promotion of Research and Development Methodologies – Greece).

As the world transitions to net-zero, it is imperative for skills providers to develop an all-encompassing long-term approach to deliver the green skills that will enable industry and society to decarbonise effectively. HySkills will develop the practical training content required to equip our workforce with the technical knowledge and vocational skills required to work with hydrogen in a critically safe manner.  This will enable both academiaand industry to skill young people entering the workforce while also reskillingsections of the workforce at risk of displacement by the transition to net-zero.
