Aurora webinar on hydrogen purchase agreements

Tues 19 Mar 14:00-15:00 GMT.

This webinar with Aurora Energy is on the topic of hydrogen purchase agreements (HPAs). In the nascent hydrogen market, bilateral offtake agreements are used to by producers and buyers to mitigate market and price risks. These agreements are crucial for developing and financing hydrogen projects, ensuring a consistent revenue stream for producers and a reliable supply for buyers. Analysing renewable markets, various HPA structures can be created, such as fixed price, indexed, and tolling. Aurora anticipate a cost-based HPA trend in Europe until a liquid market emerges by the mid-to-late 2030s and will examine diverse HPA structures in key European countries, exploring price ranges for projects commissioned in the short term.

Johnson Matthey webinar on fundamentals of platinum group metals (PGMs)

Tues 26 March 08:00-09:00 GMT.

Platinum group metals (PGMs) enable several hydrogen technologies, notably fuel cells and PEM electrolysers. Join Marge Ryan, one of Johnson Matthey’s PGM experts, to learn all about these unique metals. In 1 hour, you will get an overview of PGM market structure, gain insight into where PGMs come from, how they’re used and recycled today, and what they offer as critical metals for the future. Following Marge’s presentation there will be plenty of time to ask questions and further information can be found in the Johnson Matthey PGM guide and other recent publications. This webinar will be repeated at 15:00 GMT.
