A great feature was in the Sunday Independent yesterday (July 30, 2023) on how New Zealander Tim Bills-Everett wants to kickstart a green economy in the northwest of Ireland. Tim is the Irish country lead for Mercury Renewables. Mercury’s ambitious plan involves building a wind farm on the Mayo Sligo border to power a hydrogen generation plant. Tim was introduced to Dr James Carton, the Chair of Hydrogen Ireland. Meeting James led to a feasibility study part funded by MaREI energy and climate research centre in Cork.
