Dr James Carton, the Chair of Hydrogen Ireland has addressed the ‘Hydrogen-Ireland’s Opportunity’ event organised by Energy Cork and GenComm James presentation on’ Roadmaps for Hydrogen to support decarbonization of Ireland’s economy’ focused on the work of the HYlight project with its 25 Partners. James pointed out it was fitting that everyone was in Cork at the event as we are under the umbrella of MaREI. New economic opportunities from hydrogen do exist according to James and we have to be having the debate about potential hydrogen clusters in Ireland. Community is also important in hydrogen said James, you need to get your community on board. The environmental impact and the Irish economy have to be considered. Hydrogen sector coupling does involve social impacts. Hydrogen Ireland Board Member added to the debate that you need to get your information out in a format people can digest such as the GenComm output the http://communityh2.eu/
