Zero Emission Vehicles Office welcomed

Hydrogen Ireland welcome news that Zero Emission Vehicles Ireland has been established as a dedicated office charged with supporting consumers, the public sector and businesses to continue to make the switch to zero emission vehicles. The Office will lead on the delivery of  Ireland’s ambitious target under the Climate Action Plan 2021 to have 945,000 electric vehicles in the Irish fleet by 2030.

Zero Emission Vehicles Ireland launched on 21 July 2022, along with the announcement of new initiatives and grants. The new office is within the Department of Transport supported by the SEAI. The office will support the uptake of EVs through infrastructure delivery strategy, strategy and policy, research and innovation, communications, public and stakeholder engagement. Key initiatives include the EV Smart Charger register and the EV Commercial Fleet Trial.
